The Thistle Fox Faerie Spirit Doll

The Thistle Fox Faerie Spirit Doll was completed at the Winter Solstice here in our home in lutruwita / Tasmania. She is filled with Milk Thistle seeds also known as St Mary’s Thistle or Mother Mary’s Milk. She wears a dress woven from silk and black French wool. Over her heart is an Eye talisman woven in silk and silver fibres. Below the eye is a brass bell that rings when what she sees is true. Her hair is woven from hand dyed wool from Australia and her face markings are woven in silk and wool dyed with indigo. She was made by hand with love.
