The Cloutie Faerie - Pilgrimage Spirit Doll

$320.00
sold out

The Cloutie Faerie is one of a small group of dolls that were created on the road during my recent pilgrimage to Ireland and Scotland and completed once I returned home to lutruwita / Tasmania. They are filled with dried yarrow and linked to the spirit of the Bee sacred to St Gobnait the patron of bees and the first Holy Well of the Pilgrimage in Cork Ireland. The Cloutie Faerie was inspired by the ribbon offerings (clouties) on the faerie trees beside the well of St Gobnait. She is needle felted from black alpaca wool woven with brights silks and was made by hand with love.
