St Mary's Deer Spirit Doll

St Mary’s Deer Spirit Doll was completed at the Winter Solstice here in our home in lutruwita / Tasmania. She is filled with Milk Thistle seeds also known as St Mary’s Thistle or Mother Mary’s Milk. She is dressed in Icelandic black wool and her hair is woven from this wool also. Adorning her dress are golden flowers and green vines 3D-felted in wool hand dyed with lichen. She wears the antlers of her kin the Deer. She was made by hand with love.
