The Thimble Weaver Spirit Doll
The Thimble Weaver is part of a small group of dolls that were completed at Lughnasadh. She is filled with yarrow and her hair made from wool woven with linen. She wears a shawl and apron made from handspun and handwoven wool by my friend Alice Savage in Italy. Her dress is woven from wool from British ancestral sheep. She holds a hand carved wooden thimble made from blackwood here in lutruwita / Tasmania. She was made by hand with love.
