The Halloween Dolls were completed on the eve of Samhain. They were created here in my Tasmanian home on the threshold of Beltane to connect to their Samhain ancestors in the north. The Nettle Deer plant spirit doll is filled with dried nettle and has a spiral sigil over her heart and face markings woven in dried nettle. She is a full bodied doll moveable arms and legs. Over hear heart in the centre of the spiral is a cowrie shell and she wears the antlers of her familiar the Deer. She was made by hand with love.
