Faerie Godmother - St Gobnait Pilgrimage Doll

$620.00
sold out

The Faerie Godmother plant spirit doll is part of a family of dolls completed over Winter. Inside her body she is filled with the plant motherwort also known as ‘lionheart’ or ‘lion tail’. This tall spirit doll is very direct and will be a strong guide for her keeper with keen eyes to see the way forward. She wears a handmade tatted (an old lace making craft) headpiece created by our friend Alice Savage. Her dress is woven with wool and silk and she has garnet stones into it in spirals and circles of wool dyed naturally with nettle and buckthorn. Her face is adorned with wool dyed naturally with nettle, logwood, Heather flowers, buckthorn. She wears a shawl made from a scrap of pure silk that travelled with me on pilgrimage to the well of St Gobnait in Cork, Ireland and was dipped into the sacred well water. She was made by hand with love.
