The Weekly Familiar - Tasmanian Tiger

The Weekly Familiar - an Animal Message from Tony

This Week's Familiar is the Tasmanian Tiger.

The Tasmanian Tiger was been hunted to extinction many years ago but is still with us in spirit. The Tasmanian Tiger has come forward to teach us about acknowledgement. Sometimes we are not acknowledging our gifts to ourselves or to others. The Tasmanian Tiger was a very shy animal and rarely seen. Because of this stories were created about this beautiful animal that were not true and it was deemed very dangerous. Is it time to stop shying away from your own gifts? Is it becoming more dangerous or unpleasant to remain hiding them? Try to  acknowledge your talents first within yourself, when you accept your own abilities even though you may be shy, others will feel this and acknowledge you for who you truly are. We all have our own special gifts. We honour the spirit of Tasmanian Tiger, we have not forgotten you.

The Weekly Familiar - Kangaroo

The Weekly Familiar - an Animal Message from Tony

This Week's Familiar is KANGAROO.

Kangaroo: The kangaroo has come through this week to show us how to let go of stress. We can often let stress build up in us over issues and events that aren't as important as we think they are. Here is an exercise taught to me by kangaroo: imagine a large kangaroo standing in front of you and focus on what you are feeling stressed about. Begin taking very deep breaths. With every exhale see the kangaroo in front of you growing larger and larger as you let the problem go. When the kangaroo has taken the feeling of stress from you it will turn and jump in enormous leaps - releasing the energy of the issue with every jump until it is completely clear. This is kangaroo's gift to you.

The Weekly Familiar - Koala

The Weekly Familiar - an Animal Message from Tony

This week's Familiar is KOALA.

Koala: The koala has come in this week with it's message about relaxation. Koala is one of my totems and has taught me about the importance of relaxing and just taking it easy. This message is reminding us to set aside time to do nothing and let the world go by for a change. The koala helps us to de-stress as stress can often be a major cause of illness. How much time are you giving to stressing about the tiny details of your day? Is your mind racing constantly? Are you taking time for yourself? What is it that relaxes you the most and can you make time to do this more? The irony is we are more productive when we are relaxed. So make time to embrace the energy of the koala today and let go, relax and be. The Koala.

The Weekly Familiar - Elephant

The Weekly Familiar - an Animal Message from Tony

This week's Familiar is ELEPHANT.

Elephant: An elephant came to me this week with it's message about support. Each elephant has it's role in the tribe but will give support to anyone who needs it. They all come together to protect and help each other especially their young. This message is asking you to look at the support around you and the support you give to others. Support to partners, family or friends. Support is about giving and receiving, equality in relationships. There is no one role greater or more important than any other, we can all help each other to simply be. The Elephant.

The Weekly Familiar - Ant

The Weekly Familiar - an Animal Message from Tony

This week's Familiar is ANT.

Ant: An ant came to me this morning with it's message about carrying burdens. The ant knows it's limits. We humans tend to try and carry too many things at once whereas the ant will carry only what it needs and no more. Why do we carry too much? Perhaps it is a good time to let go of some of our burdens. Once we let go we feel lighter, our posture straightens and we have more mobility. Are your burdens as important as you think? Time to reassess, let go and only carry what you need.
