The Seer’s Mask is one of a small group of dolls that were created on the road during my recent pilgrimage to Ireland and Scotland and completed once I returned home to lutruwita / Tasmania. They are filled with dried yarrow and linked to the spirit of the Bee sacred to St Gobnait the patron of bees and the first Holy Well of the Pilgrimage in Cork Ireland. She wears a mask with the Seer’s Eye woven in silk and black alpaca wool. Her hair is woven from black welsh wool. she wears a dress and shawl of black alpaca wool woven with bright silks and was made by hand with love.
